- New CNC Small Hole Machine and Makino DUO43 Wire EDM
These two machines are another step in setting Moon Tool apart from the competition. We no longer have to rely on outside sources to create our small start holes for the Wire EDM. The New Wire EDM also brings us the latest in Wire EDM technology and expands our capacity to turn projects around quicker.
- Global 7-10-7 CMM Arrives
Our new Coordinate Measuring Machine arrived and is set up ready for use. We now have scanning ability too.
- Building Expansion Completed
Jeemco's Crew worked diligently despite the long wet Spring and completed construction on time and on budget. We are very pleased with the work they did. It didn't take long to move into the space and absorb it into the normal use to store and stage parts for the machining, assembling, and welding processes.
- Moore #3 Jig Grinder Acquired
Even with all of the technology that is out there, there is sometimes no substitute for the feel of a quality machine at the hand of an experienced operator. This addition to our arsenal of equipment will aid in jobs that require precision ground holes as well as those odd instances we get into doing mold repairs.
- Building Expansion
After doubling the building size from our Conneaut Lake facility we find that in just under three years we need more space. So a 6,000 square foot addition is being erected in the Spring of 2011. We chose Jeemco Construction for this project. So far we are very impressed with their professionalism and ethics.
