2024 Aluminum
An aluminum alloy with copper as the primary alloying element. It exhibits a high strength-to-weight ratio, good fatigue resistance, and average machinability. Common applications include aircraft parts, vehicle wheels, gears, cylinders, and pistons.
6061 Aluminum
A precipitation-hardened aluminum alloy that contains magnesium and silicon as major alloying elements. It has good mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and weldability. It is a typical aluminum-alloy selection for both industrial and general-purpose applications, including marine frames, welded assemblies, fasteners, aircraft parts, electronic components, furniture, heat exchangers, vehicle trim, and parts, and chemical equipment.
7075 Aluminum
An aluminum alloy with zinc as the primary alloying element. It has excellent mechanical properties and exhibits good ductility, strength, toughness, and fatigue resistance. Typical uses are bicycle frames, electrical fittings, heat sinks, aircraft components, and vehicle parts.
FORTAL Aluminum
A high-strength, lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and easy-to-machine aluminum alloy. Initially developed for aerospace components, it’s become popular for use as tooling and cutting devices.
