Role Summary:

Ability to read and comprehend drawings and utilize Mastercam to model files used to produce finish machined parts. Ability to program, setup and run parts start to finish utilizing various CNC machining technology. Ability to inspect in-process and finished machined parts.

Responsibilities Include:

• Program CNC equipment utilizing Mastercam.
• Set up and operate machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints and related technical data to determine tooling. requirements, setup procedures and machining methods and sequences.
• Must have the ability to maintain close tolerances.
• Prepares and pre-sets all tools needed for the machining operation.
• Must have an understanding of machine tool accuracies, fixture offsets, and tool offsets.
• Knowledge of cutting tool feeds, speeds and tool life.
• First article inspection and inspection of parts during production to maintain quality throughout the production run.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
• The ability to communicate and have good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently with little supervision and utilize personal integrity.
• Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing dynamic environment.
• Time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work overtime when required to meet deadlines.

Qualifications / Requirements:

1. Experience with Mastercam
2. Maintain paperwork accurately
3. Experience running various types of metals
4. Ability to work autonomously

Job Function – Manufacturing

Role Summary:

The Designer develops CAD surfacing, the modeling & design of models and molds to create prototype parts, plastic and metal injection molds, and industrial fixtures.

• Tooling Design: Responsible for designing tooling molds/fixtures for prototype manufacturing. Create run-off surface for milling.
• Drawing Release: Creation of models for release. Follows drawing release and engineering change processes and capable of performing all clash/clearance checks necessary.
• Design for Manufacturing: Follows applicable Design for Manufacturing standards for part creation.
• BOM: Provides applicable support to the Design Engineer to create applicable Bill of Materials for projects.
• Shop Floor Support: Assist shop floor with any assembly issues during prototype manufacturing
• Problem Solving: Participate in cross-functional teams to quickly and efficiently solve complex problems as they arrive.

Major Responsibilities Include:

• Meet customer and manufacturing schedules
• Work autonomously
• Well organized and ability to maintain a clean work area

Qualifications / Requirements:

1. Previous experience with building plastic or metal injection mold designs
2. Experience with Solidworks 2021
3. Follows all safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and regulations
4. Maintain paperwork accurately

Role Summary:

Moon Tool is seeking a motivated, innovative, problem solving, proposal/purchasing assistant to help us improve our sales initiative and help grow our business. 

Major Responsibilities Include:

Proposal Development

• Manages the daily proposal development for customer inquiries.
• Responsible for updating Job Boss ERP system with accurate information.
• Utilizes historical information when evaluating pricing opportunities and tries to maximize gross margin.
• Evaluates opportunities with each customer to grow their book of business.

Purchasing

• Receives multiple accurate vendor and external service quotes to budget proposal opportunities.
• Utilizes the system properly in order to facilitate purchasing activity after a customer purchase order is received.
• Manages the purchase of material to fulfill customer orders and operational needs.

Customer Service

• Responds directly to customers with proposals and follows up to learn of wins, losses and the customers reason.
• Lead small projects that come up in order to improve our sales operations.

KPI (Key Performance Indicators)

• Assists in accurately logging information and generating monthly reports to verify various metrics. Some examples are:
  • Number of monthly proposals bid on and monthly revenue bid on
  • On time delivery of proposals 24-48 hours
  • Number of wins
  • Revenue growth and margin growth

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Machining/engineering background a plus
• Blueprint reading and attention to detail is a necessity
• Ability to work autonomously and properly update the system and paperwork

Job Function – Supply Chain / Maintenance

Location – Meadville PA (USA)

Shift – 1^st Shift

Role Summary:

You will be assisting in managing and organizing inventory, kitting jobs to be prepared for the future schedule to meet on time delivery, providing general maintenance of equipment within the shop, maintaining the grounds, and other side duties as assigned by your manager.   

Major Responsibilities Include:

1. Load and unload trucks with forklift
2. Oversee physical inventory, receive products and ensure inventory is labeled correctly and stored in the correct designated location. 
3. Maintain correct inventory levels through the ERP software system
4. Lead the “Kitting” process by preparing, sawing, and staging material for future jobs to support the schedule.
5. Organizing the tooling within the shop.
6. Provide general maintenance with CNC machinery
7. Assist in cleaning the shop and emptying trash and chips several times a day
8. Make delivery & pickups when necessary
9. Assists with monthly safety checks of equipment
10. Maintain the grounds

Qualifications / Requirements:

1. Problem solving and troubleshooting of equipment independently
2. Knowledge of proper material handling procedures
3. Maintain paperwork accurately
4. Forklift driving required
5. Ability to lift 50lbs. and be on your feet for 8 hours a day
6. Driver’s license with clean driving record
